Another GREAT PT Cruiser event is about to bite the dust………..sigh.   This year will be the FINAL version of “Amish Country Cruisin’.   It will be held at the Splash Universe Water Park Resort in Shipshewana (Indiana) on June 4-5-6, 2010.    (Hotel info is below).  It is being hosted by the PT Cruisers of Michiana.  .    Check out the show website:   CLICK HERE

 

After June 6, it will just be a pleasant memory, along side “Cleveland Rocks Cruise”. “Cruise the Falls (Canada)” “Ohio’s Dirtiest PT Cruiser Contest”, “Cruise the Smokies”, and “Young’s Jersey Dairy” – to name just a few.

Thanks for the kind words Marv, after this solicitation I hope that Bob has done his parking plan in pencil. We would certainly welcome all of you for our final blowout. For all that are interested, check the "Show/Event Photos" section of this website to find over 300 photos of our last year's show. Once you have seen them, there will be no question in your mind that this is a fun event.

One more thing, although the event begins on Friday, many are coming in a day or two early. There will be a drive-in movie on Thursday night at dusk. (OK, so technically you will drive-in and then get out and walk to the tent) It will take place behind the Town Center right next door to the Wana Waves host hotel. Popcorn and soda will be available, come see one of the all-time classic car movies of all time.
This is the same parking lot where all of our activities take place.

We just registered Tuesday or Thursday of this past week and they told us all of the rooms are sold out. But, they did give us a different room at almost the same rate. We have no children so maybe that factored in somehow.

There are several hotels very close to the host hotel. They as well are giving special rates if the Wana Waves is full. You just have to mention that you are with the Show to receive them. I believe there is a list of all the area hotels listed on the web page. I know several groups that have attended in the past choose to stay at other hotels rather than our host hotel. If anyone needs help booking a room, give one of us on the committee a hollar and we will help if we can.

If you call the nost hotel a few days BEFORE the event, they are sure to have a room for you. Someone ALWAYS hac to cancel at the last minute.
