I'm with you guys, I hope things are straightened out in Jr's head and he gets down to business.

He should be able to. He will need to keep his head in it. And this track usually doesn't have a "big one" to watch out for. it's easier to stay out of trouble.

Well MT Nester88, I love to sing also and did it for a while as a youngster. But living in a bar was not how I wanted to spend my youth.
I am usually forgiving, but I've got enuff 'sperience in promotion/music to know that whoever booked him was not thinking "Nascar's Biggest Race" mode. I'd have to fire that person.
There's SO many people that can sing that song, and coming off the heels of Springsteen doing the Superbowl, it's shameful for that to have happened. The one good thing was at least the guy who uttered those famous 4 words, did it in a fashion reminesant to the old days!
If I had ever done anything worthy of someone asking me to get to utter those words, you can bet I'd do it LOUD and proud.
On to CA, and hope the wet stuff stays away this year!!!

Comment by lanette giese 8 hours ago "Jr. just wasn't himself today, " I agree it was not the normal thinking of Dale Jr. 2 pit mistakes? waz up? Fox mc's alway make a bigger deal of everything. They can drag a subject out longer than than a media crew on a mis spoken politcal comment. LOL!!!! And on the singer. He was a platinum recording star? Iagree w/ you on him too lanette. I love to sing and I tell my friends around me that I sing for my enjoyment not yours so sorry if i'm not alway's right on. but then I don't sing infront of crowds with a mic either. :) Rain, none of the fans like a rainy ending. as a fan we just don't get the feeling that the race truly ended. Have a nice week all. Were off to Fontana next week.

I thot the race was a good race, except for the Nat'l Anthem singer and for ending in rain...I've been to the Coke 600 when it got called for wet stuff. It's so..."Oh, crud!"
Jr. just wasn't himself today, IMHO...with the pit box calamitites and the deal with Vickers; but one of the FOX MC's threw this out, that Jr. may not have KNOWN Vickers was also gunning for the Lucky Dog...it just is not like him. I'm not a Vickers fan and never will be....he hasn't ability to handle a car when it gets loose or out of shape.
I'm thinking this same type of thing happened with him in Taladega? hmmmmm, I'll have to think on it.
It's just racin' and I will have to say that the media has made such a big deal already about it, maybe cuz it's so "not Jr." to wreck the field.
Jr. said he felt bad for wrecking the field...
At any rate, Kenseth won and that's a good thing. He's always so humble and nice, most all the time he's a great sport.

I Wouldn't say he did nothing wrong. Sometimes you have to back down when your coming up be side someone. He was coming faster, but the block was legal, and done by everyone. He should have slowed a bit and fallen back in line behind Vickers. I know a lot of people would be bashing Tony if it would have been him instead of Earnhart, saying well Tony's anger got the best of him again. LOL. Earnharts' a good guy, but I feel he made a mistake today. I'm happy to see 17 get a win again. and Thank goodness it wasn't 24 or 48.
