The same thing happened to me when I went to the mail box, I left the car idling and closed the door to walk up to the mail box, the door locked behind me. I had to walk home and get my spare set of keys. Luckily it wasn't too far. I was told it was a fail safe system, when the car is running the doors will lock. When you first start driving the doors will automatically lock when you reach higher than a certain speed. 15mph? I have learned not to leave the keys in the car if it's running and I have to leave it or make sure I press the unlock all door button before I close the door while it is running. so far I've not locked myself out but I have to remember not to let the car idle with me outside of it without some precaution. Some fail safe system, lol.

I would check the battery first,it seems to start most electrical problems even if the car starts & runs.
