We hope you enjoy the site, and if you are not a member already... why not become a member since you are here today!
Happy PT Cruisin' to you!
kooIMPORTANT NOTICE
PT Members,
I started this network in December 2008 after the PT Cruiser Club closed unexpectedly , leaving the members with no way to keep in touch and share experiences. Back then, Ning was a free service. Unfortunately, about a year later, it became a pay service. I started paying for the site and continue to this day.
Unfortunately, the time has come where I can no longer justify paying the fees for the site. I retired last December, but tried to keep going with the site, but the activity has dropped off significantly from a few years ago and money is tighter in retirement. After consulting with Gary and Gordon, my two volunteer administrators, I have decided to shut the site down.
I will set the date to shut it down as 20 August, the end of the monthly cycle. That should provide enough time for everyone to download any pictures, or other information, they want to save.
A special thanks to Gordon, PTGEEBEE, and especially Gary "TAZ" McCullough my administrators who kept this site going for years after I got buried in my work. This site would have died long ago without them.
If anyone is thinking of taking on this site, I would suggest starting a new site on the Ning 3.0 platform at their Basic level. This site would move to another more expensive site on that platform and Ning is pushing to folks to move there. Starting a new site would mean only the active members would be there and the many older members who have passed away or no longer have any interest in PT Cruisers will not falsely add to the numbers.
Thanks to everyone for being part of this site and loving the PT Cruiser. I still have my 2007 and I still love it an enjoy driving it. Good luck and see you all down the road.
