I want all to know I am a huge supporter of military families.  I know my family suffered while I was in.  I know they sacrificed tons for me to be able to do my job.  So I want to make sure we include family members as well

I was in the Navy for 5.5 years.I was in the Desert Storm/ Desert Shield conflict. I was stationed in Lemoore California with VFA-94. I transfered to HS-10 in San Diego California. I am a member of the VFW and American Disabled Veterans as well.

Please, I beg you all, all of my long time friends, associates, and family members, to go visit the Toyota West teacher of the year contest, find the picture of my daughter's teacher from last year, Jennifer Zimmer, and click on the "Like" button. She is an amazing teacher - kind, intelligent and incredibly caring! For years my daughter Jillyan has struggled in school - coming home with bruises and injuries, crushed toes in a shoe full of blood 2 years ago, and never being treated as well as she was last year. Jillyan has CHARGE syndrome, is blind and deaf, has had 8 major surgeries in her short life. She was one of the "Exceptional Children" presented last week at the International Deaf Blind Conference in Greensboro, NC, and we are so proud to have raised her to this date and beaten every doctors' and surgeons' estimates that she would not live this long. I really, sincerely ask that you help me in aiding Jennifer in making Teacher of the Year. Her school will win $5,000 and Jen will get a free car lease for a year. If I could I'd buy her a car myself, she deserves so much more tha that.

1964 - 1968 US Air Force. 1 Year of electronics school then 1st Air Commando Wing. Assigned to PACAF. Ended up with the 505th Pack Rats, 619th TCS Det. 11. After several survivla schools - two and a half years in RVN. Coordinated air strikes and Forward Air Control. Spent a lot of time in support of the 101st at Phan Rang. Back to the US and several months at England AFB, La. and when I would not re-up got a few months early out. I never miss an opportunity to thank any military folks I see. Really like the look on a old guy's face when you take his hand and say a warm "Thank you"
