Tape player problem

Has any body had any trouble with their sound system.
This happened a little while ago with the PT . I normally don't put cassettes in to listen to but when I did, it would not turn off, even when I turned the car off & removed the key (panic), it was stuck in fast forward. So no tapes get into the car let alone near the tape player !!

I've had mine since 2001 and never had that problem. Knock on wood!!!

Man Steven... I knew there was a reason I never used that cassette slot! Sorry to learn of your problem. My Mom's Lumina had the same thing and once we finally got the tape out, the player was never touched again. Guess I'll just keep on storing my valve cap tool in the cassette slot, like I have been doing... it's a perfect fit! Happy Cruisin' to CDs ONLY now!
